Cheryl H. Bitting, CRNP

MSN, Clinical Manager
Cheryl is a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner with a Master of Science degree in Nursing in 1999 from Widener University. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Thomas Jefferson University in 1988. She is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through American Nurses Credentialing Center. Cheryl joined Valley Kidney Specialists, PC in 2007 after practicing many years in cardiology. She sees patients in the office with chronic kidney disease for routine follow-up visits and provides continuity of care along with the physicians. She takes pride in helping patients better understand their kidney disease so that they are able to be active participants in their health care. Cheryl is also the supervisor of the clinical staff at Valley Kidney Specialists, P.C.

Matt Law, PA-C

Matt is a Physician Assistant who received his masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies at DeSales University. Upon graduation, he received the 2006 Program Director Award as the top graduate of the Physician Assistant program. Prior to his graduate studies, Matt was a full academic scholarship recipient at Temple University, where he studied Pre-med/Psychology, and graduated magma cum laude. Matt is board certified as a Physician Assistant. Matt joined Valley Kidney Specialists, PC in 2006. He provides care to patients with End Stage Renal Disease at the dialysis clinics. He also provides care to hospital inpatients who have acute/chronic kidney disease and require electrolyte management and management of resistant hypertension. Matt also serves as a sub investigator for Northeast Clinical Research Center.

Michael Mudry, PA-C

Michael is a Physician Assistant who received his undergraduate degree from Bloomsburg University in Exercise Science with a minor in Cardiac Rehabilitation. He received his Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Desales University and is board certified as a physician assistant. He joined Valley Kidney Specialists in 2003 and has been practicing Nephrology since then. Michael is an Assistant Clinical Professor at DeSales University and is a preceptor for physician assistant students, educating them during their clinical rotations. Michael takes care of patients with end stage renal disease receiving dialysis treatments in the outpatient dialysis centers, as well as evaluating and treating patients in the acute hospital setting for kidney disease and high blood pressure.

David Rath, PA-C

David is a Physician Assistant who received his degree from Pennsylvania State University in Clinical Health Sciences in the Physician Assistant Program in 1980. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Safety Management from Allentown College of St. Francis de Sales in 1988 and is board certified as a Physician Assistant. David joined Valley Kidney Specialists, PC in 1999. He provides care to patients with End Stage Renal Disease at outpatient dialysis centers, as well as evaluating and treating patients in the acute hospital setting for kidney disease and high blood pressure.

Karen Williams, CRNP

Karen is a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner with a Master of Nursing degree from University of Alberta in Canada. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from University of Maryland. She is board certified through American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Karen joined Valley Kidney Specialists, PC, in 2014. She sees patients in the office with chronic kidney disease for routine follow-up visits and provides continuity of care along with the physicians. Karen has years of experience as a clinical educator, nursing supervisor, and CRNP in hospital settings.

Deb Williston, CRNP

Debra is a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner with a Master of Science in Nursing from Gwynedd Mercy College in 2003. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from Kutztown University in 2000. Debra is board certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Debra joined Valley Kidney Specialists, PC in 2008 after more than 25 years in nursing. She works primarily with End Stage Renal Disease patients at several of the area dialysis clinics, assisting to manage their complex medical needs. Debra is actively involved in the National Kidney Foundation and Northeast Clinical Research Center to advance the care of individuals with kidney disease.

​Morgan E. Boni,PA-C

Morgan is a Physician Assistant who received a Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from DeSales University in 2016. Prior to her graduate studies, she earned a Bachelors of Science in Medical Studies from DeSales University. She was a member of the Delta Epsilon Sigma National Honor Society. Morgan conducted an independent research project while involved in Lehigh Valley Health Network's Summer Research Scholars Program in 2012. She has enjoyed volunteering at the DeSales Free Clinic in Allentown, PA, where homeless men and women have access to free healthcare. She is an NCCPA Board Certified Physician Assistant. Morgan joined Valley Kidney Specialists, PC in 2016. She cares for End Stage Renal Disease patients at the Sellersville dialysis clinic. She also treats hospital inpatients with acute/chronic kidney disease at Grandview Hospital, Lehigh Valley Hospital, and Easton Hospital.

Joleen Schade, CRNP

Joleen is a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) who received a Master of Science degree in nursing from Wilkes University in 2017. Prior to her graduate studies, she received an Associate of Science in nursing degree from Reading Area Community College in 2005, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Penn State University in 2002. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She worked as an RN for 12 years before becoming a CRNP, and joined Valley Kidney Specialists in 2018. Joleen treats patients with End Stage Renal Disease at the Pottsville outpatient dialysis clinic, as well as treating patients with acute/chronic kidney disease in the hospital setting at the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill location.

Dana Root, CRNP

Dana is a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner with a Master of Nursing degree from Walden University. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Westminster College and an Associate's Degree in Nursing from Lehigh Carbon Community College. Dana joined Valley Kidney Specialists, LLC, in 2019 after practicing many years as a cardiac nurse. She is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Danatakes care of patients with end stage renal disease receiving dialysis in the East Stroudsburg dialysis clinic as well as treats patients in the hospital setting with acute/chronic kidney disease.
